  • Towing – SAE J2807 Certification

Tundra is equipped for up to 10,500 lb. of maximum towing1, especially thanks to its TripleTech frame, Trailer-Sway Control2, 9.5-inch and 10.5-inch ring gears on 4.6L V8 and 5.7L V8 models, respectively. Plus, 13.9-in. front disc brakes with 4-piston calipers and ventilated 13.6-in. rear disc brakes are standard. 5.7L V8 models add a transmission fluid temperature gauge, supplemental engine and transmission fluid coolers, TOW/HAUL Mode and integrated trailer brake controller. In fact, Toyota was the first manufacturer to have all of its trucks’ trailer tow ratings certified by the Society of Automotive Engineers’ (SAE) J2807 standard1.

  • Upscale Technology

Tundra offers upscale connectivity on every trim with the standard Entune Multimedia bundle including a touch-screen, USB port3 and Bluetooth®4 wireless technology. Plus, Limited and TRD Pro feature the EntunePremium Audio with Integrated Navigation5 and Entune® App Suite6 while Platinum and 1794 add JBL® speakers and amplifier. With the Entune® App Suite6 especially, this level of connectivity isn’t matched by the competition.

  • Standard Safety

Tundra offers an extra layer of confidence with eight standard airbags7, including driver and front passenger knee airbags, features not found on its competition. Plus, Tundra offers front and rear parking sonar8 standard on Platinum and 1794 and available on Limited while front and rear parking sonar are only available for Ram 1500 and Silverado. F-150 only offers a reverse sensing system.

  • Value

Tundra comes standard with ToyotaCare9, including a no-cost scheduled maintenance plan for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first, while Chevy Silverado is the only competitor to offer a standard maintenance plan.

1. Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions in your Owner's Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on the total weight of any cargo, occupants and available equipment. Calculated with the new SAE J2807 method.
2. Trailer Sway Control is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether TSC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. See Owner's Manual for details.
3. May not be compatible with all WMA/MP3 players and like models.
4. The Bluetooth® word mark and logos are registered trademarks owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and any use of such marks by Toyota is under license. A compatible Bluetooth enabled phone must first be paired. Phone performance depends on software, coverage & carrier.
5. Availability & accuracy of the information provided by the navigation system is dependent upon many factors. Use common sense when relying on information provided. Services & programming subject to change. Services not available in every city or roadway. Updates may be available from your dealer at an additional cost. See Owner's Manual for details.
6. Apps/services vary by phone/carrier; functionality depends on many factors. Select apps use large amounts of data; you are responsible for charges. Apps & services subject to change. See toyota.com/entune for details.
7. All the airbag systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All airbags (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating airbag, always wear seatbelts and sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible. Do not put objects in front of an airbag or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. See Owner's Manual for further information/warnings.
8. Do not exclusively rely on the Parking Assist Sonar system. Always look over your shoulder and use your mirrors to confirm clearance. Certain vehicle and environmental conditions may affect the ability of the sensors to detect an object. Even the shape and composition of the object can be a factor. See Owner's Manual for details.
9. Covers normal factory scheduled service for 2 years or 25K miles, whichever comes first. See Toyota dealer for details and exclusions. Valid only in the continental U.S. and Alaska.
10. (Historically, vehicle manufacturers and distributors have charged a separate fee for processing handing and delivering vehicles to dealerships. Toyota's charge for these services is called the "Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee" and is based on the value of the processing, handing and delivery services Toyota provides as well as Toyota's overall pricing structure. Toyota may make a profit on the Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee.) Excludes taxes, license, title and available or regionally required equipment.
